Z Magazine/Z-Net

Z Magazine is a progressive monthly magazine with commentary on the political, social, cultural, and economic landscapes in the USA. Its electronic version, Znet, is an inspiring and informative resource for those interested in exploring and engaging in radical social change, and includes valuable links to other progressive web sites.

Participatory Economics

This web site outlines the basic principles of the alternative economic theory of ParEcon, as envisioned by Michael Albert and Robin Hahnel, who are prominent and influential progressive thinkers and activists. ParEcon is an alternative to contemporary capitalism. The workplace structures of Arbeiter Ring Publishing and G7 Welcoming Committee Records are organized according to the principles of ParEcon.

AK Press

AK Press is part of AKA Books Co-operative Limited, a workers’ co-operative that is owned and operated by a collective. The goal of AK Press is to make radical books and other materials published by independent presses (as opposed to corporations) accessible, and, overall, to promote positive change in the world.

G7 Welcoming Committee Records

Self-described as a “rogue media outlet,” G7 Welcoming Committee was founded in 1997 in Winnipeg, Manitoba by two band members of Propagandhi and a friend, as a record label for politically radical bands and spoken word artists. G7 is organized according to the principles of ParEcon (also included in our links), and its web site is a valuable tool for those interested in radical politics and the various media that help to disseminate the word(s) of change.
